Aging Test Of Safety Valves In UV Aging Chamber

2026-09-29

According to the requirements of EN 14129:2024 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Equipment and Accessories - Pressure Relief Valves for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Pressure Vessels, LPG pressure relief valves need to undergo high and low temperature ultraviolet aging tests. Below, we will provide an overview of this test.

Pressure Relief Valve High and Low Temperature Ultraviolet Test:

Test Equipment: Huanyi Instruments High and Low Temperature Ultraviolet Aging Chamber

Test Standard: EN 14129:2024 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Equipment and Accessories - Pressure Relief Valves for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Pressure Vessels

Test Conditions:

1. Test Temperature: Cyclic between -20 and 60°C

2. Ultraviolet Radiation: The energy received by the sample shall be (65±10) W/m²; the wavelength range shall be (360±40) nm.

3. Rainwater: Rainwater shall be tested under the following conditions:

a) Deionized water with a resistivity greater than 250 Ωm;

b) The water shall be neutral, with a pH of 7±0.2;

c) A suitable device shall be used to simulate heavy rain, generating small water droplets. The water shall be incident on the sample at an angle of 30° to 45°;

d) The flow rate of the water droplets shall be sufficient to keep the sample moist.
